The S.L.U.G. Queens aren’t just the faces of campy clean fun in Eugene, Oregon. In fact, each S.L.U.G. Queen is a strong supporter of a local non-profit or cultural aspect of the city. They open art shows, march in parades and make appearances at fund raising events. S.L.U.G. Queens “Ooze for the Cure”, open city parks, plant trees, read stories to children at the library and in schools, MC Bark in the Park, organize public events, judge other contests, encourage STEM programs, help with food drives, and solve crimes. Well, maybe they don’t solve to many crimes– but they could- if you asked.
